Newport Beach Brew Co. Announces New Hours and Dishes

Brew Co.

Gone are the days when the clock strikes midnight and Newport Beach Brew Co. shuts its green-painted doors. Under new Lounge Group ownership, Brew Co. has announced extended hours of operation — opening earlier and closing later — along with an updated menu.

The longer hours make sense. Historically, Brew Co. was something of a Cinderella story on the Peninsula; a beloved favorite but never a real, serious contender in the late-night bar scene. Despite being the only Peninsula spot brewing its own beers, the 12 a.m. closing always gave locals pause when choosing their Friday or Saturday hangout.

As the story goes, Lounge Group recently purchased Brew Co. and ever since has been subtly transforming Brew Co. into the brewery we all want (and definitely deserve). If you’re unfamiliar, the partners at Lounge Group also own Malarky’s Irish Pub, Stag Bar + Kitchen, Dory Deli and a host of hotspots off the Peninsula like Country Club and Wild Goose Tavern, so they’ve got plenty of experience in running successful operations.

Already, there are visible changes happening at Brew Co. although some things will remain the same.

Sticking with tradition, Brew Co. will continue to brew beer using the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 known in German as “Reinheitsgebot.” According to the Brew Co. website, “The law states that beer may only contain three ingredients: barley, hops and water unlike the major breweries, which use rice and preservatives.”

New to Brew Co.: extended hours, an updated logo, a more serious social media presence and an emphasis on weekend brunch. Now, Saturday and Sunday brunch runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and new brunch menu items deliver on plates brew-loving patrons crave.

Notable additions to the brunch menu include:
