Three-Part Women’s Empowerment Series at Fashion Island

Iwell-behaved women rarely make history, then the ones who roar are rewriting all the books. Unleash your inner lioness at Fashion Island this summer and find inspiration in the words of bold trailblazers. Orange County United Way and Bank of America have teamed up to present Local, Global & Me, a Women’s Empowerment Series.

The free, three-part series kicks off Wednesday, August 15 at The Lincoln Experience Center at Fashion Island (139 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660) with a special panel presentation about building and enhancing your personal brand. Overall, the interactive series will promote the power women have to impact their communities, both locally and on a global scale.

Christina Zabat-Fran of St. John and Skyler McCurine of Le Red Balloon will share their stories on developing personal brands, and discuss how fashion and style affect perceptions, and the role that local community involvement plays in building your brand story. Lanän Clark, Executive of Merrill Lynch, Orange County will moderate the discussion and Orange County United Way will provide an update on how to get more involved in solving some of biggest challenges related to the education, health, housing and financial stability of Orange County residents.

The event is free and requires an RSVP in advance. To attend, email or call Amanda Hastings at AmandaH@UnitedWayOC.org or (949) 263-6141.
