As a general note, dogs are permitted on the beaches of Newport Beach before 10 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise stated. (For instance, certain areas of shoreline along Newport Bay only allow leashed dogs after 5 p.m.) Check nearby signage to confirm dog-friendly times. Also, please pick up after your dog! While we undeniably loooove our furry friends, we really don’t want to step in their poop.
Newport Beach Dog Beach

Unlike the rest of the 6.2-mile Newport Beach strand, which allows leashed dogs to walk on the sand before 10 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m., this particular strip of shoreline is a designated off-leash dog area. // READ MORE.

Miles of off-leash, dog friendly shoreline mean endless play for your pup and a leisurely beach day for you. // READ MORE.
