For the tenth year in a row, whole main lobster will make its buttery, delicious debut on the shores at Newport Dunes at the 2018 Lobsterfest. Enjoy surf, turf, live music and fun for the entire family … all while raising money for the Make-A-Wish® (Orange County and Inland Empire) and Leadership Tomorrow organizations.
This year, Lobsterfest is taking place Sunday, Aug. 5 from 3 to 8 p.m. Of course, the main focus of the celebration is the fresh, whole Maine lobster dinner but accoutrements include dancing to live music by four-piece dance band “West Coast Party Crashers,” a raffle drawing for a big screen TV, and fun on the beach for the entire family.
But more about the lobster (because isn’t that why you landed on this article?) Here are the details: Live whole Maine lobster is flown in fresh on the morning of the event and prepared on-site along with a buffet that includes New York strip steak, corn-on-the-cob, red potatoes, salad, freshly baked sourdough rolls and dessert. Additionally, the Lobsterfest at Newport Beach features a full bar with spirits, craft beer, and premium wine.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish® – Orange County and Inland Empire and Leadership Tomorrow – Orange County. Make-A-Wish® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Leadership Tomorrow – Orange County is a nine-month program designed for informed citizens committed to learning more about their communities.
