Sometimes you’re good and sometimes, you’re the Finest. This Wednesday, April 25, the team at West Oceanfront is proud to help support 12 young professionals for Orange County’s Finest event at TIME Nightclub in Costa Mesa. The celebration, which begins 5:30 p.m., will honor the fundraising efforts of these stellar volunteers, who together have already raised a combined $71,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
At last year’s inaugural event, Finest members raised $85,000 for the organization and so far, it looks like the 2018 total will be even higher. And much like the 2017 fete, attendees can expect food, drinks, a charity auction, entertainment and a chance to commemorate weeks of hard work by volunteers eager to give back.
Finest honorees include: Aleisha Barlow, Vanessa Brown Pope, Jeny Carpenter, Danielle DeCarr, Robert L. Duarte Jr., Breanne Evans, Bobby Frisch, Corinne Jacobs, Shawnna Johnson, Ray Otero, Joseph Puccio (better known as lead singer of The Droppers), and Matt Zieman. Melissa Kandel serves as the 2018 Finest Chair.
Funds raised by Finest members are given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full productive lives by helping fund research and drug development, promote individualized treatments and ensure access to high quality, specialized care. According to the organization, this funding will help expand the cystic fibrosis drug development pipeline to more than 30 potential lifesaving cystic fibrosis therapies. Any one of these therapies, or a combination of drugs, could make a significant difference in the quality of life for those battling cystic fibrosis.
