Laguna Art Museum and Newport Beach Film Festival Present Screening of Leaning Into the Wind – Andy Goldsworthy

Laguna Art Museum and Newport Beach Film Festival to host a screening of Leaning Into the Wild – Andy Goldsworthy. The film is presented in conjunction with Laguna Art Museum’s Art & Nature festival (November 1-4), an interactive community event featuring special exhibitions, a commissioned outdoor work of art by artist Elizabeth Turk, lectures, panel discussions, films and family activities on the theme of art’s engagement with the natural world. Leaning into the Wind – Andy Goldsworthy follows the artist on his exploration of the layers of his world and the impact of the years on himself and his art. The screening is free with museum admission. Seating is first come, first served.
Second Installment of Local, Global & Me, A Women’s Empowerment Series

Bank of America and Orange County United Way present Local, Global & Me, a Women’s Empowerment Series focused on investing in women to build strong communities. The free, second installment of the three-part series on November 7 will feature a special presentation from Mary Niven, Senior Vice President, Experience Development and Integration for Disneyland Resort about her role at a renowned global brand, and how women in all job capacities and industries can come together to create positive change in their communities. Niven currently provides executive operations leadership on all resort development projects and is responsible for driving functional expertise and integration across the Disneyland Resort.
